The USS Hawking NCC 75314 is an Intrepid Class Starship in Service to ##Starfleet and the Federation.  The Intrepid class has a fantastic range of defensive and exploratory capabilities.    “Fast and Smart” has been a way to describe other ships of the class.  

 

The vessel is named after the famous 20th/21st Century Physicist Sir Stephen Hawking who had some of the most influential theories of the era, despite having Motor Neurone Disease.
